If you're struggling to feel grateful for your skin and find yourself scrutinizing every wrinkle, pore, and pimple, here's a reminder of all the amazing things your skin do...
For me, this birthday isnât about looking back with nostalgia or forward with anxiety. Itâs about celebrating everything that has brought me to this moment: the lessons, the laughter, the setbacks, and the healing that have shaped both me and the brand Iâve built.
In a few days, it's my birthday.
Turning sixty feels bigânot just because itâs a milestone, but because of what it represents. For me, this birthday isnât about looking back with nostalgia or forward with anxiety. Itâs about celebrating everything that has brought me to this moment: the lessons, the laughter, the setbacks, and the healing that have shaped both me and the brand Iâve built.
When I started Graydon Skincare, I had no idea how deeply my own story would become part of it. Like many of you, Iâve had a complicated relationship with my skin. Itâs reactive, sensitive, and has always reflected whatâs happening inside me, whether I liked it or not. In my younger years, I saw that as something to fix. Now, I see it as something to honour.
This shiftâfrom criticism to compassionâhas defined not only my relationship with aging, but the entire philosophy behind Graydon Skincare. I invite you to join me as I reflect on some of the biggest lessons Iâve learned in my 60 years on this Earth.

Iâve always been a sensitive person, in every sense of the word. I feel things deeply, and my skin mirrors that emotional landscape. Flare-ups, redness, drynessâthey all have stories to tell. For years, I tried to quiet those signals, searching for quick fixes or products that promised perfection. But my skin didnât need to be silenced; it needed to be listened to.
When I began to approach my skin with curiosity rather than frustration, I realized that healing comes from harmony, from nourishing your body, calming your mind, and creating space for rest. That lesson became the heart of Graydon Skincare: products designed to support the skinâs natural rhythms rather than fight them.

At sixty, I see now that my sensitivity was never a weakness. It was my teacher. It showed me how deeply connected our inner and outer worlds really are, and how powerful gentle, mindful care can be.
Aging has a way of bringing things into focus. There was a time when I equated beauty with youth, as so many of us are taught to. But now, I see beauty in the stories our skin tellsâthe laugh lines, the freckles, the softness that comes with time. These arenât signs of decline; theyâre proof of a life lived fully.
As a founder in the beauty industry, Iâm acutely aware of how often women are told to fear agingâto hide it, erase it, fight it. But I believe the opposite. Aging is not the enemy. Itâs an evolution. And when we support our skin with kindness and care, we can age beautifully⊠not by pretending to be younger, but by embracing who we are right now.
Thatâs why you wonât see the phrase âanti-agingâ on any of our products. I donât believe in fighting time. I believe in nurturing longevity and in creating formulations that help your skin stay strong, balanced, and radiant at every age.

My daily rituals are simple these days, but they mean more to me than ever. Cleansing my face slowly. Massaging in oil while taking a few deep breaths. Saying thank you to my skin, my body, and the life I get to live in it.
These moments remind me that skincare isnât just about appearance; itâs about connection. Itâs an act of gratitude. Itâs a way to pause during a busy day and come home to yourself.
Thatâs what I hope people feel when they use Graydon Skincare: a sense of care, calm, and confidence. Our products are powered by superfoods and science, but theyâre made for real people who want to feel comfortable, healthy, and radiant in their own skin, no matter what stage of life theyâre in.
One of the most rewarding parts of running this company has been connecting with our community, especially the women who share their stories of rediscovering confidence after years of struggling with sensitive, unpredictable skin. I see so much of myself in those stories.

We live in a culture that often tells women that beauty has an expiration date. But the truth is, it doesnât. If anything, it deepens with time. Thereâs beauty in wisdom, in softness, in knowing what truly matters.
My goal as a founderâand as a woman entering this new decade of lifeâis to continue creating space for that kind of beauty to be celebrated. To show that skincare can be a tool for empowerment, not insecurity.
As I reflect on turning sixty, I feel immense gratitude for the people whoâve supported me, for the lessons my skin has taught me, and for the opportunity to lead a brand that aligns with my values.
This milestone isnât just about me. Itâs a celebration of whatâs possible when we stop judging ourselves for aging and start embracing it as a privilege. Every year we get is a gift. Every change we see in the mirror is a reminder that weâre still evolving.
So hereâs to sixty years of learning, growing, and loving the skin Iâm in. Hereâs to creating skincare that celebrates every stage of lifeâand to redefining what beauty can look like when itâs rooted in compassion, not comparison.
With love and gratitude,
