Boost Your Skin With Moon Boost Serum

Moon Boost is a revolutionary new vitamin serum, synergistically blended with seven vitamins. Keep reading to learn how these vitamins benefit your skin!

One day, I was standing in front of my supplement cupboard when inspiration struck.

It took two years and over 50 prototypes but our new multivitamin serum, Moon Boost, has officially joined the Graydon Skincare lineup! Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our cosmetic chemist, Ivy, I could not be more excited about this revolutionary product.

About Moon Boost Serum

Moon Boost is like nothing you’ve ever used before. This velvety-smooth, multifunctional serum is made with non-comedogenic superfood oils and infused with seven vitamins. This complex formulation does the job of seven serums in one convenient bottle and is suitable for people of all ages, genders, skin tones and skin types.

I’m so excited about this formula that I want to tell you a little bit about how the vitamins in Moon Boost work to support your skin.

Vitamin A

The skin benefits of vitamin A are widely documented. In fact, vitamin A is often considered one of the most effective skincare ingredients. So what does it do? Well, it helps you to age more gracefully (and who doesn’t want that).

In skincare, vitamin A helps to speed cell renewal.(1) Meaning new skin cells will more quickly work their way to the skin’s surface and your old, dead skin cells will be sloughed off and replaced. As a result of this process, your skin’s tone and texture are smoothed out. Vitamin A also helps to boost collagen production.(1) Collagen is one of the proteins that keeps your skin looking plump and supple. Increased collagen helps to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Ummm, yes please to all of that!

Vitamin B

Moon Boost is formulated with vitamin B; more specifically, it contains vitamin B5.

Vitamin B5 is a superstar ingredient that acts as an emollient and a humectant. What does that mean? Well, emollients help to soothe and soften the skin and are especially beneficial for dry, flakey skin. Humectants draw moisture to the skin and keep that moisture locked in. This helps reduce Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL) so your skin stays hydrated.(2) In case you didn’t know, dehydrated skin tends to look dull and is prone to fine lines and wrinkles.

Is there anyone out there who doesn’t want soft, hydrated skin? I doubt it!

Vitamin C

We all know the dietary benefits of vitamin C, but did you know that vitamin C provides many skin benefits when applied topically as part of your skincare routine?!

For starters, it’s a powerful antioxidant that helps to neutralize free radicals and minimize skin damage caused by environmental stressors such as UV rays and pollution.(3) Vitamin C also works to even the complexion by reducing melanin production and fading hyperpigmentation.(3) In addition, it has anti-inflammatory properties that help to calm redness associated with some skin conditions.(3) If that’s not enough, vitamin C has also been shown to increase collagen production.(3)

Plump skin with an even complexion? I’m in!

Vitamin D

Our primary source of Vitamin D comes from the sun, hence the nickname “the sunshine vitamin.” This essential vitamin is synthesized in our skin and plays an important role in the way our bodies function.

In skincare, Vitamin D has anti-inflammatory properties that are known to help with some skin conditions such as psoriasis.(4) In addition, it’s been shown to normalize skin cell turnover, which helps to maintain the skin barrier function.(4) But that’s not all! Studies show that vitamin D provides some protection from damage caused by UVB rays,(4) and less sun damage means more youthful looking skin. Now let me be very clear—you still need to wear an SPF certified sunscreen!

Vitamin E

Skincare fads come and go but vitamin E is not one of them. In fact, it’s been used in skincare products for decades. So what makes vitamin E such a skincare staple?

Well, it’s a fat-soluble vitamin that helps to reinforce the skin barrier(5) and soothe skin that has been exposed to the elements. On top of that, it has powerful antioxidant properties that work to protect the skin from free-radical damage caused by environmental stressors.(5) This is important because free-radical damage leads to premature signs of aging and nobody wants that!

Vitamin F

To be clear, vitamin F isn’t really a vitamin; it’s the name given to two essential fatty acids: alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3) and linoleic acid (omega-6). These fatty acids work together to do wonders for your skin.

Vitamin F is a powerful moisturizing ingredient that helps to reduce Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL), improve skin elasticity, firmness and texture.(6) It also offers some protection against the damaging effects of UVB rays and reduces signs of skin aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles, collagen loss and hyperpigmentation, caused by sunlight.(6) But wait, there’s more! Vitamin F can also help improve acne.(7)

Soft, youthful skin with a clear complexion? Those are #skingoals!

Vitamin K

While not as widely talked about as other skincare ingredients, vitamin K does have some amazing benefits to offer. For starters, vitamin K helps to speed wound healing by reducing the size of the wound and forming collagen fibres and blood vessels.(8) It also plays a major role in blood circulation and clotting, which leads researchers to believe that vitamin K can help reduce the appearance of bruising and dark circles.(9)

With benefits like these, I think vitamin K deserves a little more attention.
