Here’s How You Can Support Breast Cancer Research this October

This October, 15% of every purchase of Aloe Milk Cleanser (100 mL) from our site will be donated to Breast Cancer Canada.

💗 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time when communities worldwide come together to raise awareness, honour those affected, and support life-saving research.

At Graydon Skincare, my team and I have always believed that beauty goes deeper than the surface—it’s about well-being, resilience, and supporting women through every stage of life. Our skincare is designed to nurture skin through aging and hormonal changes, but our mission extends beyond products. I am passionate about women’s health, and this October, I’m proud to give back in a way that directly supports it.

For the entire month of October 2025, 15% of every purchase of our Aloe Milk Cleanser (100 mL) from our website will be donated to Breast Cancer Canada, an organization dedicated to advancing research that transforms the future of breast cancer care.

This initiative is close to my heart more than ever this year because I’ve faced my own cancer journey.

My Cancer Story

If you’ve been following along on our social channels, you may know that over the past year, I’ve gone through my own experience with cancer. What began as a small spot on my nose was later diagnosed as basal cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer. While treatable, the news was frightening, and the path forward was daunting.

Given the location and size of the carcinoma, my doctor explained that the surgery would be intensive, potentially lasting up to six hours. There was also the very real possibility that it could leave my face permanently disfigured. As the founder of a skincare brand—someone who has built a career around skin health and confidence—you can imagine the emotional turmoil this brought. I was scared not only for my health but also for what this might mean for my identity and my work.

Thankfully, I was able to undergo a different treatment, which was successful! But the experience left a lasting mark on me, one of deep empathy for others navigating a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Even though basal cell carcinoma is generally manageable, the fear, uncertainty, and vulnerability that come with the word “cancer” are profound.

This is why our support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month feels different this year. At Graydon Skincare, we’ve worked with breast cancer charities in the past. In fact, last year’s breast cancer awareness month we partnered with Lipstick Angels, an incredible nonprofit that offers beauty, skincare, and wellness services to people undergoing cancer treatment. But now, having lived through a form of cancer myself, this initiative carries even greater meaning. It is not just about a donation; it is about standing with women who are going through one of the most difficult experiences of their lives.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in Canada. Behind every diagnosis is a person, a family, and a story of resilience. These women deserve high-quality care driven by cutting-edge research. That’s why I am honoured to support the important work of Breast Cancer Canada.

Why Breast Cancer Canada

Breast Cancer Canada is at the forefront of advancing research to improve outcomes for patients. Their vision is rooted in the belief that the future of breast cancer care lies in precision and care that is as unique as every person diagnosed.

As Kimberly Carson, CEO of Breast Cancer Canada, explains:

“At Breast Cancer Canada, we believe that the future of breast cancer care lies in precision. And, in research that’s as unique as every person diagnosed.

Our commitment is clear: to accelerate progress, improve outcomes, and ensure that every Canadian, no matter where they live or who they are, has access to the most advanced care possible. Together, we’re not just funding research — we’re shaping the future of breast cancer.”

Through four key pillars (advocacy, research, education, and patient tools) Breast Cancer Canada is driving forward initiatives that improve screening, personalize care, and give patients greater access to treatments. Their work doesn’t just advance science, it makes a real difference in the lives of women and their families.

I was deeply moved when Angela Marlatt, Vice President of Mission & Advocacy at Breast Cancer Canada, shared this message with us:

“Breast Cancer Canada is thrilled to partner with Graydon Skincare this October. Their commitment to giving back and raising awareness through their community is a powerful way to support patient-focused breast cancer research. Together, we can accelerate progress, honour those affected, and create a better future for breast cancer patients.”

Why Aloe Milk

For this initiative, it only felt right to spotlight our Aloe Milk Cleanser. With its naturally soft pink hue from gromwell root, Aloe Milk perfectly reflects the pink ribbon that symbolizes breast cancer awareness.

But it’s more than just symbolic. Aloe Milk is a product that offers gentle, nourishing care—something all of us need when navigating hard times.

Free from fragrance, alcohol, dyes, and harsh exfoliants, Aloe Milk is formulated for sensitive, depleted skin. Its creamy, hydrating texture cleanses without stripping, leaving skin soft, smooth, and comforted.

As one of our customers, Dana D., shared: “I am in love with this cleanser. It hydrates your skin so well and makes it feel nice and soft. You can visibly see the difference after use.”

Whether you are undergoing treatment, supporting someone who is, or simply seeking a daily moment of self-care, Aloe Milk offers a gentle ritual of nourishment. And throughout October, every purchase of our 100 mL bottle also helps fund critical breast cancer research.
