In a few days,Β it's my birthday.
Turning sixty feels bigβnot just because itβs a milestone, but because of what it represents. For me, this birthday isnβt about looking back with nostalgia or forward with anxiety. Itβs about celebrating everything that has brought me to this moment: the lessons, the laughter, the setbacks, and the healing that have shaped both me and the brand Iβve built.
When I started Graydon Skincare, I had no idea how deeply my own story would become part of it. Like many of you, Iβve had a complicated relationship with my skin. Itβs reactive, sensitive, and has always reflected whatβs happening inside me, whether I liked it or not. In my younger years, I saw that as something to fix. Now, I see it as something to honour.
This shiftβfrom criticism to compassionβhas defined not only my relationship with aging, but the entire philosophy behind Graydon Skincare. I invite you to join me as I reflect on some of the biggest lessons Iβve learned in my 60 years on this Earth.

Learning from Sensitivity
Iβve always been a sensitive person, in every sense of the word. I feel things deeply, and my skin mirrors that emotional landscape. Flare-ups, redness, drynessβthey all have stories to tell. For years, I tried to quiet those signals, searching for quick fixes or products that promised perfection. But my skin didnβt need to be silenced; it needed to be listened to.
When I began to approach my skin with curiosity rather than frustration, I realized that healing comes from harmony, from nourishing your body, calming your mind, and creating space for rest. That lesson became the heart of Graydon Skincare: products designed to support the skinβs natural rhythms rather than fight them.

At sixty, I see now that my sensitivity was never a weakness. It was my teacher. It showed me how deeply connected our inner and outer worlds really are, and how powerful gentle, mindful care can be.
The Beauty of Aging
Aging has a way of bringing things into focus. There was a time when I equated beauty with youth, as so many of us are taught to. But now, I see beauty in the stories our skin tellsβthe laugh lines, the freckles, the softness that comes with time. These arenβt signs of decline; theyβre proof of a life lived fully.
As a founder in the beauty industry, Iβm acutely aware of how often women are told to fear agingβto hide it, erase it, fight it. But I believe the opposite. Aging is not the enemy. Itβs an evolution. And when we support our skin with kindness and care, we can age beautifullyβ¦ not by pretending to be younger, but by embracing who we are right now.
Thatβs why you wonβt see the phrase βanti-agingβ on any of our products. I donβt believe in fighting time. I believe in nurturing longevity and in creating formulations that help your skin stay strong, balanced, and radiant at every age.
Mindful Beauty in Practice

My daily rituals are simple these days, but they mean more to me than ever. Cleansing my face slowly. Massaging in oil while taking a few deep breaths. Saying thank you to my skin, my body, and the life I get to live in it.
These moments remind me that skincare isnβt just about appearance; itβs about connection. Itβs an act of gratitude. Itβs a way to pause during a busy day and come home to yourself.
Thatβs what I hope people feel when they use Graydon Skincare: a sense of care, calm, and confidence. Our products are powered by superfoods and science, but theyβre made for real people who want to feel comfortable, healthy, and radiant in their own skin, no matter what stage of life theyβre in.
Supporting Women Through Every Stage
One of the most rewarding parts of running this company has been connecting with our community, especially the women who share their stories of rediscovering confidence after years of struggling with sensitive, unpredictable skin. I see so much of myself in those stories.

We live in a culture that often tells women that beauty has an expiration date. But the truth is, it doesnβt. If anything, it deepens with time. Thereβs beauty in wisdom, in softness, in knowing what truly matters.
My goal as a founderβand as a woman entering this new decade of lifeβis to continue creating space for that kind of beauty to be celebrated. To show that skincare can be a tool for empowerment, not insecurity.
Gratitude for the Journey
As I reflect on turning sixty, I feel immense gratitude for the people whoβve supported me, for the lessons my skin has taught me, and for the opportunity to lead a brand that aligns with my values.
This milestone isnβt just about me. Itβs a celebration of whatβs possible when we stop judging ourselves for aging and start embracing it as a privilege. Every year we get is a gift. Every change we see in the mirror is a reminder that weβre still evolving.
So hereβs to sixty years of learning, growing, and loving the skin Iβm in. Hereβs to creating skincare that celebrates every stage of lifeβand to redefining what beauty can look like when itβs rooted in compassion, not comparison.
With love and gratitude,
