Peptides: A Natural Way to Slow Down the Signs of Aging

Peptides are becoming increasingly popular in skincare formulations. Keep reading to learn about peptides and the aquamarine-coloured serum you'll find them in.

Aging, in my opinion, is a privilege and how a person ages is 100% up to them.

If someone wants to use skincare products that target the signs of aging or receive treatments, then they should go for it! However, I also think that people should be allowed to age naturally if that's what they prefer.

Fullmoon Serum is my go-to serum and it's particularly amazing for those who are interested in a natural way to slow down the signs of aging. This is because its formulation includes an oligopeptide complex derived from the seeds of Hibiscus esculentus, otherwise known as okra. This ingredient has been shown to reduce the development of fine lines and wrinkles. When applied topically, it inhibits muscle contractions thereby allowing the muscles in your face to be relaxed.

What are peptides and how do they work?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as messengers within the skin and body. In skincare, peptides are known for their role in stimulating collagen production and wound healing. They are also know for their Botox-like wrinkle-smoothing effect, their ability to lighten the skin as well as their antioxidant and antimicrobial properties.

The oligopeptides found in Fullmoon Serum inhibit acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction to prevent muscle contractions. In other words, they actually mimic the effect of Botox when applied to the skin!

The peptides from Hibiscus esculentus extract have been proven to work effectively against expression lines and wrinkles in both in vitro and human clinical trials. One of the most promising studies found that the regular application of a cream containing just 1% hibiscus oligopeptides resulted in significantly reduced wrinkle depth in just three weeks.

Who should use skincare products with Hibiscus esculentus

Peptides are becoming increasingly popular in skincare formulations and are amazing for those looking to slow down the signs of aging and reduce the appearance of expression lines.

It's also a great ingredient to incorporate into your skincare routine if you're considering more invasive treatments, such as Botox injections to reduce lines and wrinkles.

Fullmoon Serum is a light, water-based serum that can be layered under makeup or other products in your skincare regimen to further enhance the health and youthful appearance of your skin. Although it is not a replacement for Botox, it is a gentle and natural way to improve the health, condition and appearance of your skin, while helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
