Vanillin is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant ingredient that occurs naturally in vanilla beans, however it's primary use in skincare is to add scent to a product.

While some ingredients in skincare that add scent can be harsh or irritating, vanillin adds a natural scent while working in harmony with the skin-loving ingredients in our products, making it suitable for sensitive skin.

Vanillin can be produced synthetically, but we use plant-derived vanillin from the vanilla bean.
